The Cincinnati Bengals led by their expensive quarterback Joe Burrow have started their season with two division losses. In the first week, they faced and lost to the Cleveland Browns and now the Bengals have lost against the Lamar Jackson-led Baltimore Ravens in their week 2 matchup. Burrow once again performed poorly after becoming the highest-paid NFL player just ahead of the 2023 season.

On Sunday, the defending AFC North Champions Bengals led by their star signal-caller Joe Burrow went against the newly revamped Ravens. The Baltimore-based football team managed to secure a victory in a close game on the back of a good performance from their QB Lamar Jackson. But Burrow, who has been clutch throughout his entire career, failed to lead his team to a victory this time.

In the game, Burrow completed 27 of his 41 pass attempts for 222 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. That one interception near the endzone proved to be costly as the Bengals only lost by 3 points. Besides, Burrow was not the only one who looked terrible in the game. The Bengals showed many flaws, including their inability to stop the run game.

The Ravens had 178 total rushing yards in the game compared to the Bengals’ 66 yards. Jackson and the Baltimore-based franchise averaged a yard more than the Bengals in their ground-and-pound game. Furthermore, the pass-rushing unit and the offensive line of the Bengals also played one of their worst games in a long time.

As a result, the Cincinnati-based franchise suffered their second consecutive loss in the ongoing season. The Bengals fans are not happy with the performances of their team and their expensive leader, Joe Burrow.

Social media reacts to Joe Burrow’s poor outing

NFL fans on social media, especially the Bengals fans, bashed Joe Burrow following his poor performance in the second consecutive game of the 2023 season. Burrow just became the highest-paid NFL player of all time after signing a 5-year $275 million extension with the Bengals.

The Pro Bowl signal-caller was expected to be the savior of the Bengals, but his back-to-back poor outings have fans panicking about their season. Check out some of the reactions below.

Nonetheless, the Bengals would now be focused on securing their first victory in the ongoing season next week as they are scheduled to face the Los Angeles Rams in their week 3 game. Burrow would be looking to shut down the critics with a good outing against the Rams.
