For the Harbaughs, coaching runs in the family blood. Jack Harbaugh’s children Jim and John are both in the driver’s seat of prominent NFL franchises. While Jim Harbaugh, who recently won the National Championship with Michigan, has made his return to the NFL after accepting the HC job with the Los Angeles Chargers, his brother John Harbaugh has been at the forefront of the Baltimore Ravens’ franchise for years.
John Harbaugh is just one win away from returning to the Super Bowl yet again. He shared his thoughts on his brother Jim’s new gig as the Chargers HC and the fact that they will get to face each other in the next season. At a press conference ahead of the Ravens Conference Championship game against the Chiefs, here’s what he said:
My thoughts are we play next year! So we're looking forward to all of it. I'm just very happy for him, Proud of him, excited for him, excited for his family, I heard my mom and dad told me that he called back in the evening and found out that all of his kids...had their bags packed and were ready to go.
After a month of rumors about Jim Harbaugh making a possible return to the NFL stage, the Chargers made it official earlier this week. Harbaugh’s record as a Head Coach in the NFL has been impeccable. He has a 44-19-1 record in the regular season and went 5-3 in the postseason with one Super Bowl appearance.
John Harbaugh expressed happiness over Jim Harbaugh landing the HC role in Los Angeles
Ironically, the last time the Harbaugh brothers were coaching in the Super Bowl, they were the HCs on opposing sidelines. It was the first time in league history that two brothers were the head coaches of both teams in the Super Bowl. The Harbaugh Bowl ended up with John taking the victory and leading the Baltimore Ravens to a championship.
It will be exciting to see how things pan out this time and while fans cannot see a repeat of the 2013 Super Bowl, there is a possibility that the two teams could go against one another in the Conference finals. For now, John Harbaugh is happy for his brother.
Eventually, [Jim's team] will be on the schedule. There's no doubt, Those are always challenging games, because he's such a great coach. His teams are always ready to roll.John Harbaugh via Ryan Mink of Ravens.com
This year has been great for the Harbaughs so far. After leading the Michigan Wolverines to an undefeated season, Jim Harbaugh broke the 25-year title drought and led them to a National Championship. He managed to beat Nick Saban and Alabama in the process.

With just two more wins, John Harbaugh is in line to win his second Super Bowl after a dominant season from the Ravens. Both the brothers have outperformed themselves this year, and the competition is just going to get heated within the Harbaugh household.
If Jim manages to turn the fate of the Los Angeles Chargers around, he would definitely have established himself as one of the best coaches in college football and the NFL.
