The San Francisco 49ers have finally agreed a contract extension for Nick Bosa exercising their option of taking his rookie contract into the 5th year. The 24-year old is one of the best pass rushers in the league and the 49ers will want to agree a long-term deal with him before 2023.

49ers’ general manager John Lynch spoke very highly of his pass rusher, hailing him to be one of the pillars of the roster alongside wide receiver, Deebo Samuel.
“We exercised his fifth-year option today,” Lynch said of Bosa. “I’ve maintained consistently that Nick, in our minds, we’re going to do everything we can to keep him a part of this organization. He’s a foundational player much like Deebo, a difference-maker.”
After securing, Nick Bosa for another year, John Lynch will now need to shift his focus completely on the situation involving Deebo Samuel, who has made it public of his wish to leave the franchise.
