The extension for support to the Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields is getting strong. After his club president Kevin Warren came out and spoke openly to support the quarterback, people showed no hesitation to speak in favor of him. The latest to join the bandwagon is the former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel who claimed that Fields is underrated and deserved more time as a Bears quarterback.

In a recent post on X, the former QB shared a post comparing Fields and the Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. The stat showed some similarities between the two quarterbacks. By showing the figures, Manziel tried to hint that both quarterbacks share different fates despite being similar on some occasions.

The former QB wrote,

Without a doubt J Fields is underrated. That boy is a savage on the gridiron.

The Bears QB had a difficult 2023-24 season as he suffered multiple injuries on the gridiron. In addition, he failed to provide the necessary momentum to the team as the Bears finished last in the NFC North Division with just seven wins and ten losses. With all these, the trade rumors of the quarterback started booming. There were rumors that he could be replaced by the former Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams in the next season.

The situation between Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears is not easy. A few days back, Fields unfollowed the Bears on social media. It triggered a huge controversy. The trade rumors were already there and a lot of people thought that the relationship between the two might be ending.

Nevertheless, Fields came back a few days later by revealing his love for Chicago city. The quarterback further noted that the unfollowing incident was not very serious. Extending his comments further, the quarterback said that he never understood why people took social media so seriously.

The present situation between the two is still uncertain. Both parties have shown indication to finalize a mutual deal, however, neither of them has showcased clarity to date. It is to be seen what follows in the coming time.
