The rivalry between the San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles has once again taken an ugly turn. Just a few days after the Super Bowl loss, the Niners offensive lineman Jon Feliciano got into an ugly spat with the Eagles’ defensive lineman Jalen Carter on social media.
Initially, the Eagles’ rookie sensation Jalen Carter had called out Feliciano and revealed that the Niners offensive lineman talked trash about Carter’s dead teammate during one of their games. And now, Feliciano shared his side of the story. In an X post, Jon Feliciano made some serious accusations that Carter threatened to murder Feliciano and his kids.
Dude told me he was gonna murder me and my kids would never see me again 3x because I was laughing at him after getting a flag … I said I believe you you got a body. Then he continued for weeks posting my fam n reachin out to my friendsJon Feliciano wrote on X
Feliciano insinuated that he only talked about Carter’s dead teammate after the Eagles’ defensive lineman threatened to murder his family. Last year, after the Georgia Bulldogs won their second-straight national championship title, Carter was racing against a Georgia football staffer, who ended up crashing their vehicle.
Carter’s former teammate Devin Willock and team staffer Chandler LeCroy both were killed in that fatal crash. Later, Willock’s family sued Carter and the Georgia Athletic Association for $40 million. Carter ended up pleading no contest to the charges and was fined $1,000 along with a sentence of 1-year probation and 80 hours of community service.
As for Feliciano’s accusation about death threats, only Carter and the Niners offensive lineman know what happened during the game. However, fans did share a screenshot of Carter’s Instagram story, in which, he shared a picture of Feliciano with his children and wrote:
I'm your biggest fan. I'll get up with ya.Jalen Carter’s story
Jon Feliciano blamed his teammate for Super Bowl failure
Immediately after the Super Bowl loss, the 49ers’ offensive linemen received massive criticism on social media. Fans pointed out how the offensive line failed to block the Kansas City Chiefs‘ defensive tackle, Chris Jones during a crucial 3rd down play in overtime.
Following the criticism, the Niners offensive guard Jon Feliciano blamed tackle Spencer Buford for that blown play without actually naming him. Obviously, Burford wasn’t a fan of Feliciano’s comments and called him out on X.
In the end, Feliciano had to apologize to Burford and used being ‘hungover’ as an excuse for him ‘being a b*tch. Nonetheless, the back and forth between the Niners player did not please their fans, who were already hurting over the Super Bowl loss.
