Jordan Love started his first season as the Green Bay Packers No. 1 quarterback with relative success. Instead of continuing on that trajectory, Love has regressed in recent games.

Last week’s loss to a dominant Detroit Lions team could be overlooked, but a win over the Las Vegas Raiders was much more achievable considering their wretched form. The two sides met each other on Monday night, and it was more of a cagey affair.

When both sides decided to take it slow in the first quarter, fans were tricked into thinking that the game would come alive in the closing stages. But that wasn’t the case. Throughout the night, neither team was able to grab momentum in their favor. It’s safe to say the defenders ran the show.

Raiders secondary ran riot over Jordan Love, forcing him to throw three picks, and two of them could have ended in the endzone if not stopped in time. At the end of the day, the 24-year-old only mustered 16 of 32 passes for 182 yards. What’s interesting is that in the last three games, Love has had more interceptions (6) than touchdowns (2).

Social media troll Jordan Love’s poor performance against the Las Vegas Raiders

Frustrated fans and online eagle-eyed stats keepers compared Love’s performance against the Raiders to Dak Prescott‘s horror show a day earlier. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback also threw three key interceptions as they fell prey to a very good San Francisco 49ers team.

Much was expected from Jordan Love as his predecessor, Aaron Rodgers, moved on to the New York Jets. He had to sit behind the four-time NFL MVP for two seasons. Now that he has had the chance so far, the 2020 first-round pick has been underwhelming. The Packers will have a much-needed break during Bye Week. Then, in the following week, they will be on the road to face the Denver Broncos on October 23.
