Jordan Love led the Green Bay Packers against their division rivals, the Chicago Bears, in their week 18 matchup. The Packers were playing for a playoff spot. All they needed was a win in their final regular season game, and they did exactly that.
In the must-win game, Jordan Love completed a whopping 84.4 percent of his pass attempts for 316 yards and two touchdowns. He had great help from his running back, Aaron Jones, who carried the rock 22 times for 111 rushing yards while averaging 5.0 yards per carry.
As a result, Love and the Packers registered a much-needed 17-9 victory against their division rivals over the weekend. With that victory, the Green Bay-based football team improved to a 9-8 record and clinched a wild-card berth in the upcoming postseason.
When the season started, nobody expected the Packers to make it to the postseason since they lost their veteran quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, in the off-season. However, the veteran’s replacement, who entered the 2023 regular season as a full-time starter for the time, proved many doubters wrong and firmly established himself as a franchise quarterback in the NFL.
In 17 games, Love registered 4,159 passing yards and 32 passing TDs while throwing just 11 interceptions. After sitting behind and learning the game from Aaron Rodgers for three years, Love has now proved capable of leading an NFL team. After the Packers made it to the postseason, Green Bay fans were over the moon since they might’ve struck gold again in the quarterback position.
The Packers fans have enjoyed stability in the quarterback position for nearly 30 years with Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. Now, some of them feared about Love, but the 2023 season has been a massive success for him.
