“I was happy for Aaron, but…”: Jordan Love reveals how he reacted after learning about Aaron Rodgers’ contract extension

Jordan Love and Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers is a name to reckon with in the world of the NFL. No matter what he has said and done over the past year or so, one just can’t deny that he is indeed a fantastic quarterback who has a lot left in him. Ahead of the 2022 season, there was a lot of speculation about where Aaron will end up playing.

The air around Rodgers’ future in the NFL cleared when he announced that he will continue to play for the Packers. It is evident that quite a few teams were interested in roping in the MVP from last season but the team from Green Bay managed to keep him in the side, even if it meant that they had to let go of Davante Adams.

Jordan Love, who will play the role of Aaron’s backup, recently shared his reaction to Rodgers’ contract extension. “Super happy for Aaron Rodgers The dude deserves it, obviously what he has done the last two years,” Love told reporters. “I was happy for Aaron, but at the same time, I was like ah, you know,” he claimed.

Indeed, anyone who learns about the massive deal Rodgers signed with the Packers might require a little time to recover. As far as Jordan is concerned, he was roped in by the Green Bay Packers in 2020 after he impressed a lot of people with his performances at the college level.

In the 2020 season, Love did not get any opportunity to prove himself during the regular as well as in the post-season as he was the team’s third quarterback after MVP Aaron Rodgers and Tim Boyle. In 2021, Packers got a few chances when Aaron Rodgers’ vaccination saga took center stage.

Love’s performance in those games was not too great. It will be interesting to see how he performs this time around, given that he gets ample amount of opportunities
