After a roller coaster of a couple of weeks, the 5-star recruit Jordan Seaton has officially signed with the Deion Sanders‘ Colorado Buffaloes team. Freshly after signing with the Buffs, the highly touted offensive lineman revealed how teams used negative recruitment to sway him away from signing with Colorado.

Freshly after signing with the Buffaloes, Seaton attended the press conference ahead of Under Armour’s All-America game, which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday. During the event’s media day on Friday, Seaton was asked about the college football recruitment process.

They were saying, this is the most famous one I got, like, 'What? Do you want to be a rapper, or something?' I'm like, I get what you're saying, but it was a lot of negative recruiting going on about (Sanders)

Negative recruitment has always been a thing in college football for many years. Even recently, Colorado’s head coach Deion Sanders talked about how teams are portraying him and his football team in a negative way back in November. Sanders said that the others were telling the young recruits that he wouldn’t be there very long, which he claims is not true.

As for Seaton, he is the third-highest-rated player out of high school to ever commit to the Colorado football program. He will be a big boost to the Buffaloes’ offensive line, which was one of the main reasons for their poor outing in the 2023 season.

Even Deion Sanders publicly criticized his O-line in the middle of the season. And now, he will have Seaton protecting his son and Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders from the opposing teams’ pass rushers.

The 2023 football season was a disappointing outing for Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes team. They started the season with 3 straight victories, but finished the season with a 4-8 record.

Sanders got a lot of slack for his team’s disappointing end, but his new 5-star offensive lineman sees his vision and has trust in the head coach’s process.

I feel like some people don't understand that he's only had... He's only been there for what... Has it been a year yet? It's been a year. The turnaround that program has from 1-11 to 4-8... to see that is cool.
