It was an emotional day for Florida State University as the team lost their quarterback Jordan Travis after a hip-drop tackle put undue pressure on his leg resulting in an injury so severe that he had to be carted off the field. The quarterback was taken to the hospital in an ambulance shortly after and Brock Glenn took over and helped FSU win their college football game 58-13.
While HC Mike Norvell had no update regarding Jordan Travis on Saturday night, the quarterback himself posted an update in which he is in good spirits! Here’s what he said:
Just wanted to let you know I'm doing good, feeling good.
It is remarkable that Travis managed to remain positive even in this time of despair.
He went on to say, “Got a smile on my face. Just gonna follow God’s plan. God has a journey for me. I’m gonna trust him every step of the way.”
He expressed his gratitude and despite having suffered a setback, it is not preventing him from smiling! The quarterback has turned to his faith and religion to help him sail through this rough time.
Jordan Travis remains positive and optimistic about the future
Jordan Travis is not concerned about what is next because he is firm that this happened for a reason and he is certain that God has something better in store for him ahead! The quarterback ended the message by thanking all his well-wishers and fans for the massive outpouring of support since the injury took place.
He concluded:
I appreciate y'all for all the messages. Go Noles!
It was rough for the Seminoles to see their quarterback go down and go through all that excruciating pain. Head Coach Mike Norvell emphasized on what Travis meant to the squad at the press conference following their crushing victory:
Jordan is so important to this team, not just as the quarterback but just who he is and what he stands for...it was emotional for everybody.

Jordan Travis is a leader and a vocal presence in the team’s locker room. This is why when he went down, the team’s morale was briefly impacted but the Seminoles managed to pick themselves back up and finished the night strong for their QB.
