Josh Allen has been a strong MVP contender for a couple of seasons now. The reliable QB has held the crown for the AFC East ever since being drafted by the Buffalo Bills. 

The Bills had a decent run last season, making it to the NFL divisional playoffs. However, they lost out to the well-rounded Cincinnati Bengals. The Buffalo-based team then shifted their focus to adding offensive weapons, and they have done just that this year.

During the NFL 2023 draft, the Bills were looking to add offensive weapons to back up Stefon Diggs. They traded up two spots in the draft and signed versatile Dalton Kincaid in the first round itself.

This was a surprising move by the Bills, and Allen was visibly shocked about it. The Bills QB believes it was a pleasant signing for the team that will be very useful. Allen has also shown excitement about working with him when the training camp starts.

“I didn’t think he’d be there by the time we were picking,” Josh Allen stated during his visit to Oak Hill County Club. “We’ll just say I was persistent in my talks with Beane and who I wanted. I was very, very happy with how it happened.”

Kincaid is indeed an exciting prospect that came out of the draft this year. Allen himself believed that the TE won’t be available. Fortunately, the Bills have made it happen and the QB is looking to build some rapport with Kincaid.

Dalton Kincaid is a versatile player who can easily play multiple positions. The TE is also tall while being extremely strong. Josh Allen was ecstatic after the signing was completed and can’t wait to score touchdowns with him. 

Allen has often lacked offensive weapons on his side. However, now it feels like the wait is over after the arrival of Kincaid. The Bills QB had heaps of praise for the TE and can’t wait to work with him.

“Obviously super excited to get a weapon like him,” Allen said. “He’s very fluid in his route running. He’s a very fluid ball catcher. He tracks the ball well, so any time you get to add a piece to your offense like that, I can’t help but be excited. He seems like he’s a smart kid…. He’s going to help us out a lot.”

Josh Allen and the Bills will look to win the AFC East again next season, and with increasing competition, they will need offensive weapons like Dalton Kincaid, who can adapt anywhere.
