Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has revealed that they are “working on something” after Stefon Diggs missed the mandatory minicamp on Tuesday. Diggs‘ absence raised some eyebrows, and a few even speculated that the 29-year-old may even part ways with the franchise. He also missed the OTAs earlier, but it’s not necessary for every player to attend.

After the session ended, Coach Sean McDermott addressed the situation surrounding Diggs. He said that the two-time pro bowler’s absence is a cause for concern.

Incidentally, Diggs did not have a prolific 2022 season, and that affected the Bills’ performance. He looked out of place and not in sync with his teammates on the pitch.

Allen faced the media after the minicam at the Bills facility. He clarified that there’s no personality conflict between the two and stated that there are things that could have gone better last year.

The quarterback revealed that they are trying out new things to better incorporate Diggs into the Bills system. He said, “Getting him (Diggs) the ball or getting him more involved in the game.”

Allen believes that some of the blame falls on him as well, and he will do his best to help Diggs. He also believes that communication is key, and previously there was a lack of it. “As an organization, maybe we are not communicating the right way with everything.”

On the other hand, linebacker Von Miller said Diggs not being present is not a big deal. Allen supported his statement by saying that Diggs is like a brother to him and even wished he had participated in the camp. “I have got his back,” Allen said. ” I’ve got no doubt that we will figure out what is going on.”

Diggs’ agent, Adisa Bukari, however, clarified the situation from their end. While speaking with NFL insider Ian Rapoport, he revealed Diggs was at the facility on Sunday but had to leave before the minicamp. He also questioned Coach McDermott’s “cause for concern” comments about his client.

But Bukari did not reveal why Diggs left. Earlier today, the former Vikings player posted a cryptic message on his Instagram account: “I just be letting people cap. If them lies help you sleep better tell em big dawg.”

While Diggs himself hasn’t made it clear whom he is addressing, we can speculate that he is not particularly pleased with the situation.
