The Buffalo Bills have been one of the best teams in the NFL for the past few years, racking up three back-to-back AFC East titles since 2020 and being favorites to win it again. At the forefront of the Bills charge is the duo of Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs. But that would have been deemed impossible just a couple of months ago when tension brewed between the pair. Allen, however, dismissed all the unsavory rumors surrounding the team and is looking forward to another great year.

A satisfactory preseason with two wins out of three against conference rivals should re-ignite their confidence. In a recent interview, Allen spoke about his relationship with Diggs and how they are ready to fight for the Super Bowl.

“I don’t think we have ever been closer or more on the same page, especially when it comes to the field stuff,” Josh Allen told Adam Schein of CBS Sports while appearing on the SiriusXM Radio Show. “We are talking and communicating regularly. Practicing what we preach.”

That should be music to Sean McDermott‘s ears, considering he almost blew it early. In early June, the Bills head coach revealed to the media that they were concerned about Diggs not appearing for OTAs and minicamp. However, a few days later, he clarified that everything was resolved and they were on good terms. The 29-year-old receiver even returned to training camp before the preseason began.

“The positivity that he had, his being a special player, and his unbelievable,” Allen continued. “I love him. He is great for the team. We are continuing to get better.”

The Buffalo Bills had a hard time yesterday locking up their 53-man roster for the upcoming season. But what’s even more difficult is choosing the captains of the team. They finally announced who would be the leaders on and off the field. Unsurprisingly, both Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs were among them.

“I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say [but] he was just voted captain today,” Allen told Pat McAfee on his YouTube show. McAfee responded, “That’s huge! That’s a big deal.”

It’s the 27-year-old quarterback’s fifth straight year being named captain and Diggs’ third, as per the Bills’ official website. Apart from the two safety players, Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde are also team captains.

Moreover, veteran center Mitch Morse and linebacker Von Miller were chosen for the second time. The Buffalo Bills will begin their 2023 NFL season against the New York Jets on September 12.
