Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes are easily among the best Quarterbacks in the National Football League with many debating who is better and why, with Mahomes having won a league MVP and the Superbowl and Allen lacking in both departments currently Mahomes has a stronger case.

Talent wise both sides have a strong argument and to decide who is better a variety of factors need to be looked into, one such factor is the ability to win close games and veteran NFL analyst Colin Cowherd believes that Allen has not proven to possess that ability, unlike Mahomes. With the Buffalo Bills set to face Kansas City Chiefs in a week-6 match-up and both MVP favorites set to lock horns Allen might just get a chance to prove Cowherd wrong.

Josh Allen hasn’t proven himself like Patrick Mahomes has per Colin Cowherd

Cowherd was talking about how Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are still getting the dubs despite losing Tyreek Hill which many said would impact the Chiefs a lot, although the team has been shaky at times they have still won. While to Cowherd’s point the Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen seem to have either blowout victories or close losses although Allen has won a few close ones in his career admittedly not this season.

Cowherd said“Josh Allen hasn’t proven he can win these close come-from-behind games like Mahomes.”

There might be some truth to Cowherd’s assessment and if Allen wishes to win the league MVP and a Superbowl he will have to win these close games.
