Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills suffered a humiliating loss against the defending AFC Champions Cincinnati Bengals in their divisional round matchup on Sunday. For the second year in a row, the Bills have been eliminated in the divisional round of the postseason. Furthermore, Buffalo’s star wideout Stefon Diggs was caught yelling at his QB Allen after a disappointing game.

The Buffalo Bills entered this game as the home favorites but quickly found themselves in trouble as they went trailing by 14 points within the first quarter. There was heavy snowfall in Buffalo, as predicted, and it made it difficult for the quarterbacks to play their natural passing game. Their franchise QB struggled a lot as he threw for 265 yards and 1 interception and ended the game with a 68.1 passer rating.

On the other side, the Bengals QB Joe Burrow managed to play a solid game as he ended his outing with a 101.9 passer rating. However, the difference between the two teams was their rushing attack. The Bengals RB Joe Mixon rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown while averaging 5.2 yards per carry and, on the other hand, the Bills completely abandoned their ground game. The Bills’ starting running back had the same number of rushing attempts as the Bengals’ QB Burrow.

Furthermore, the Bills failed to use their best player in the receiving game also, Buffalo WR Stefon Diggs ended the game with just 4 catches for 35 yards. This is just the 3rd time this season that the receiver has failed to reach over 48 receiving yards.

Toward the end of the game, the Buffalo Wideout had an outburst on the sidelines, probably due to his lack of targets, and was caught on the cameras yelling at the 5th-year quarterback, who just ignored him altogether.

During the post-game press conference, Allen was asked about the wideout’s outburst by the reporters. To which, Allen answered that Diggs is a competitive player and wanted the ball.

“He’s a fiery competitor. He wants the ball,” Allen told reporters during the post-game press conference. “And whatever it was that we couldn’t get him the ball tonight, we’re going to have to learn from.”

Nevertheless, the Cincinnati Bengals caused a massive upset and will be heading to the AFC Championship for the second straight year. They will be facing the Kansas City Chiefs in what would be a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship when the Bengals defeated the Chiefs in overtime.
