The Buffalo Bills had arguably one of their most heated training camps on Tuesday. Several players seemed to be in a mood to pick a fight with each other, which made quarterback Josh Allen a little dissatisfied with the situation.

It has been one of those weeks where every camp is facing some sort of skirmish. It’s natural that the NFL season is coming, and there’s bound to be some tension. The bills are no different either. When there’s pride at stake, every player wants to give it their all. But sometimes that can get a little out of hand.

After the practice ended, Allen addressed the fiery atmosphere in the Bills facility. He was asked about how these kinds of scuffles affect the team.

The 27-year-old replied that this kind of intensity “make your team better.” He emphasized that “we’re grown men; we want to win! “as another verbal altercation broke out off camera between Stefon Diggs and defensive back Siran Neal.

The Pro Bowler noted that Tuesday’s practice possibly had the most consistent influx of fights in the Buffalo Bills camp. He said, “It’s expected. It’s deserved.”

News 4 Buffalo reported that Allen was apparently livid, with Tyrel Dodson swinging his helmet around. He even shouted at him to cut it out. Dodson went off the field in anger, and linebacker coach Bobby Babich had to go and calm him down.

Will Josh Allen fall prey to the Madden curse?

While Josh Allen tries his best to stop his teammates from arguing with one another, he needs to focus more on himself. Since EA Sports announced that the Bills quarterback will be on the cover of the 2023–24 edition of the NFL game Madden, many have feared that he will fall prey to the “curse.”

What is the so-called ‘Madden curse‘? Apparently, whoever gets chosen as the cover of the game faces great calamity. It is real, and Josh Allen should be weary.

Over 55% of the past Madden cover athletes saw a drop of 80 points in their PRR fantasy production the year they were featured. Moreover, 37% suffered some sort of injury that kept them out for a long period of time.

Garrison Hearst, of the San Francisco 49ers, who was the first to appear on the cover of the Madden 99 European addition, fractured his ankle during the divisional playoff in 1998. Marshall Faulk had three incredible seasons with at least 2,000 yards that earned him a spot on the Madden 2003. He tore a tendon midway through the season the following year.

In recent history, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was the man for 2017 Madden. He suffered a hamstring injury and underwent surgery to repair a herniated disk. Gronk became a shadow of his former self. While Josh Allen won’t give too much priority to the curse, at the back of his mind it will linger like a snake ready to pounce.
