There is rising tension in the Buffalo Bills camp since there are several rumors indicating a rift between the Bills’ franchise quarterback Josh Allen and their star wide receiver Stefon Diggs. Amidst this, Allen has added fuel to the fire by taking a subtle shot at Diggs by praising his new teammate WR Trent Sherfield.

Speaking in a recent interview with Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN, the Pro Bowl quarterback Josh Allen said, “I’ve loved what I’ve seen from Trent [ Sherfield ] so far; the dude works extremely hard. He’s one of the hardest-working guys on the team. Doesn’t complain about anything. He’s rolling right now.”

Back in March, the Bills signed Trent Sherfield to add depth in the wide receiver position. Sherfield played for the Miami Dolphins in 2022, where he caught 30 passes for 417 yards.

Back to the Allen-Diggs drama, the Bills QB has been very careful about not criticizing his teammate Stefon Diggs despite the wide receiver’s off-season antics. However, Allen’s comments about Sherfield’s work ethic and ‘not complaining’ attitude is in direct contradiction with Diggs, who has been missing training camps and doesn’t seem to be happy in Buffalo.

Despite Diggs signing a massive 4-year deal with the Bills last season, there are a lot of rumors and speculations about him leaving Buffalo due to the talented wideout’s cryptic posts and actions. The Bills’ head coach, Sean McDermott, called Diggs’ actions very concerning after the pass catcher missed the first day of their mandatory training camp.

Furthermore, there are also reports suggesting the Buffalo-based football team might privately shop Diggs in the 2023 off-season and is willing to trade him away for the right compensation. And now, Josh Allen’s comments have led to more speculations. Meanwhile, the QB lives in a very lavish property. Josh Allen’s house is a $851,500 property located in Orchard Park, New York.

Despite the multiple reports suggesting that the Bills might end up trading away Stefon Diggs, it is highly unlikely it could happen in the near future. The All-Pro wide receiver has played a huge role in the Bills’ offensive production in the last few years and the franchise wouldn’t want to see the back of him anytime soon.

Josh Allen’s parents are Joel Allen and Lavonne Allen and he struggled a lot in his rookie campaign. But Allen has grown to be one of the top-tier quarterbacks in the league right now. Diggs played a huge role in that development.

Ever since Diggs joined the Bills, he has been at his absolute best while helping his QB to perform at a high level. Diggs has three consecutive Pro Bowl seasons during his 3-year stint in Buffalo so far.

Just last season, the 20-year-old receiver accounted for 1,429 receiving yards and 11 receiving touchdowns. The Bills simply can’t replace that kind of production right now. The Bills might end up trading him in one or two years after they find a young replacement for him in either free agency or the NFL Draft.
