“Literally mingling with the opps” – Patriots icon Julian Edelman catches heat on social media for hanging out with Daniel Jones at Giants’ training camp

The New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman had a remarkable career in the NFL that spanned over a decade. He spent his entire career in New England and is one of the most beloved athletes among the Patriots fans. But now, the wide receiver linking up with Daniel Jones at the New York Giants training camp has left the Pats fanbase in shambles.
Recently, the 37-year-old former wide receiver was in attendance during the Giants’ training camp in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Edelman, who has a long history with the Giants’ head coach Brian Daboll shared some insights with the Giants receivers. After the training session, Edelman joined the huddle with Parris Campbell, Cole Beasley, wide receivers coach Mike Groh, and a few others to share some insights.
The 2022 Coach of the Year winner Brian Daboll had a couple of stints with the Patriots as wide receivers coach and tight ends coach. Edelman and Daboll worked together when the current Giants leader was working as a TE coach in New England from 2013–2016.
And now, a couple of days ago Edelman posted several pictures from the Giants practice camp. Edelman posted a picture of him standing next to Brian Daboll and another picture of him talking with a few Giants players including the expensive QB Daniel Jones.
Edelman, who has retired from the game was just a guest at the G-Men’s training facility. But the Patriots fans on social media could not believe the 5’10” wide receiver hanging with the rival team.

Fans of the New England-based franchise do not like the Giants since they have lost a couple of Super Bowl games to them. Both teams have played each other 13 times in the NFL and the Pats have won 7 of them.
However, when it comes to the postseason, the Giants and the Pats have met each other twice in the championship game and the former have won both of them. So, the Patriots fans have a valid reason to hate the Giants.
Anyhow, Julian Edelman is still one of the most liked athletes among sports fans in New England. He played 11 seasons with them and helped them win 3 Super Bowl rings during his career.
