Tom Brady is the most accomplished NFL player of all time. The New England Patriots icon has won a record 7 Super Bowl rings during his remarkable career that spanned over for more than two decades. The second most Super Bowl-winning QB is Joe Montana with 4 rings. Recently, the Pats wideout Julian Edelman revealed how Brady took motivation from the NBA legend Michael Jordan to be the most successful football player, bypassing Montana.

Speaking in a recent episode of The New Heights podcast, Julian Edelman said, “I remember it was 2014 right before the season. We just lost in the AFC Championship to Denver. We started training in like February. He had the location of the Super Bowl on his whiteboard in his gym. I was like, ‘What is this?’“

Brady already had the Super Bowl location marked down on his calendar. “That’s where we’re gonna be playing the last game of the year, bro,” replied the Patriots legend. Edelman, a supportive teammate, asserted that he will help Brady to match the San Francisco 49ers icon Joe Montana’s ring count. “I’m gonna help you catch Montana,” Edelman told Brady, who had three rings at the time.

But Brady wasn’t going to settle for just four rings. Brady gave a clear message to the wideout as he said, “I ain’t catching Montana. I’m going for (Michael) Jordan.” The Chicago Bulls legend won 6 championships during his terrific NBA career.

In the end, Brady’s dreams did indeed come true. He eclipsed both Montana and Michael Jordan by winning 7 Super Bowl rings before retiring from the sport in February 2023.

The Patriots’ iconic quarterback Tom Brady earlier this year announced his decision to retire from football after dominating the sport for more than 2 decades. He won 7 Super Bowl rings, the most by any player in the NFL. Ever since his retirement, Brady has been involved in multiple business ventures including buying stakes in sports franchises like WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces and NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders.

The 45-year-old former QB also seems to be having a lot of fun in his personal life. He has been rumored to be dating several celebrities including the reality TV star Kim Kardashian and the 32-year-old model Emily Ratajkowski.

Nonetheless, the 15-time Pro Bowl QB will soon return to the thing he loves the most as Brady is set to start his professional career as a sports broadcaster with Fox Network in the fall of 2024. Fans can’t wait to see the greatest QB of all time calling plays from the booth.
