Justin Fields is one of the greatest quarterbacks to play for the Ohio State University. During his time with the Buckeyes, Fields ended up being a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2019, which led to him getting drafted in the first round by the Chicago Bears. And now, two years after he got drafted, Fields has become a college graduate.
The 24-year-old quarterback Justin Fields graduated from the Ohio State University on Sunday with a degree in consumer and family financial services. He attended the ceremony in the Buckeyes stadium to receive his well-earned degree. The Bears and the Ohio State Buckeyes celebrated the achievement on their social media handles.
Fields transferred to Ohio State in 2019 after spending one year with the Georgia Bulldogs as the backup quarterback. In his first year with the Buckeyes, Fields registered 3273 passing yards, 42 touchdowns, and just 3 interceptions while leading the Buckeyes to a CFP semi-finals appearance. In his second year at Ohio State, Fields took it up a notch and led them to a National Championship appearance.
The 2019 Heisman Trophy finalist entered the 2021 NFL Draft and got picked by the Bears as the 11th overall pick and the 4th quarterback in the draft class. He took over the starting QB job in his rookie year and hasn’t looked back since.

Justin Fields is due for a breakout season
After taking over the starting QB job in his rookie year, the Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields solidified himself as a true dual-threat quarterback in his second year as he broke multiple rushing records for a quarterback.
The Bears’ offensive coordinator Luke Getsy believes Fields has come a long way since last season. Now that Fields has adjusted to the pace of the NFL, the former first-round pick QB could end up having a big year in 2023.
“Where he was at this time last year to where he is now, I think he’s just light-years ahead of where he was,” offensive coordinator Luke Getsy said Saturday. “And I feel like he has a ton more to grow going forward. So we’re excited to try to get the best out of him moving forward and keep working toward where we think he can go.”
The 6’3″ quarterback registered 3,385 total yards and 25 total touchdowns in the 2022 regular season. Now that he has a number one wide receiver as the Bears acquired D. J. Moore from the Carolina Panthers, Fields could have a breakout year in the upcoming season.
