After starting the season with three consecutive victories, Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes’ 2023 season turned into a nightmare as they only managed to win 1 game in their next 8 games. As a result, the Buffaloes now have an abysmal record of 4-7 after all the hype they created in the off-season.

Amidst this, Colorado’s running back Kavosiey Smoke takes a massive dig as he accuses Deion Sanders‘ team of playing selfish ball.

Simple fact bru we could’ve went undefeated this year?to much selfish ball going on man can’t win like that?gotta play and win as a team but if u go the other route u get results like this?

Smoke is not a first-stringer in Colorado. He hasn’t seen the field much beyond special teams and a couple of carries in the offense. He just recently joined the Buffaloes ahead of their much-anticipated 2023 season.

Smoke transferred to Colorado back in January, just a few months after Deion Sanders took over as the head coach of the Buffaloes. Before that, he spent 5 seasons with the Kentucky Wildcats and registered 1,583 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns on 292 carries. And now, he has taken a dig at the Buffaloes’ approach to the game.

Was he taking a shot at Deion Sanders’ coaching or was he taking a dig at his quarterback Shedeur Sanders? Maybe it was just a poor choice of words. Only smoke knows the answer to that.

Kavosiey Smoke clarifies his ‘selfish ball’ comment

On Saturday, the Colorado Buffaloes running back Kavosiey Smoke’s cryptic social media post about his team went viral. He blamed his team’s loss on the selfish approach in a Twitter post. And now, he has made a clarification post regarding his statement.

Smoke was a 3-star prospect coming out of high school in the 2018 recruiting class. He had offers from several big Power 5 schools, including North Carolina, Florida, and Georgia Tech. In the end, he committed to Kentucky, but he never lived to his potential.

He spent 5 seasons with the Wildcats, but he never became their leading running back. After those 5 seasons, Smoke jumped ship to Colorado and only had 2 offensive carries in the 2023 college football season. Now, he is preparing to play in his last college football game in a week against the No.22 ranked Utah Utes in a tough road game.
