On Sunday Night Football, the Buffalo Bills led by their franchise quarterback Josh Allen faced the New York Giants in their week 6 matchup. The game was expected to be a one-sided beatdown since the already struggling Giants ruled out their starting QB Daniel Jones ahead of the game.
However, the Giants’ defense kept them in the game till the last minute. Furthermore, the tempers were flaring between both teams which led to a massive brawl involving Allen and the Giants pass rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux
With just under 2 minutes left in the third quarter, the Bills were trailing by 6 points and were facing 3rd and 1 from the Giants’ 5-yard line. Josh Allen, who received the snap from shotgun position handed the ball to his running back Latavius Murray who trucked his way for a Bills first down.
However, after the whistle was blown, a fight broke out as the Giants’ defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence pushed down the Bills lineman Spencer Brown onto the ground. When Lawrence and two more Giants defenders kept pushing Brown, the Bills quarterback Josh Allen could be seen coming into the endzone and bodychecking a defender in support of his offensive lineman Brown.
Meanwhile, on a separate tussle, the Bills lineman Dion Dawkins and the former first-round pick Kavyon Thibodeaux could be seen fighting each other. Dawkins kept trying to punch Thibodeaux who was on the ground. The Giants pass rusher tried to protect himself by delivering kicks while lying on his back in the ground.
In the end, the referees separated both teams and controlled the chaotic situation. Despite throwing multiple flags, the refs didn’t eject anyone from the game. On the Bills side, only Dawkins was penalized while Lawrence, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and Leonard Williams were all penalized on the Giants side. All the penalties were offsetting and didn’t impact the game. But all the players involved in the fight are expected to be fined by the league later this week.

Kayvon Thibodeaux is off to a great start in 2023
During the 2022 NFL Draft, the Giants drafted the Oregon edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux in the first round. Thibodeaux had a solid start to his career as he registered 4 sacks in his rookie season despite missing some games due to injuries.
And now, the young pass rusher has started his 2023 season even better as he has already accumulated 4 sacks in just 6 games. If Thibodeaux stays healthy for the entire season he might register double-digit sacks in his second year in the league.
The talented edge had a good game against the Bills but could not help his team outduel the Buffalo-based franchise. Now, he will look to register multiple sacks and help his team secure a victory against the Washington Commanders, who the Giants are scheduled to face this weekend in their week 7 matchup.
