After letting go of Justin Fields, the Chicago Bears aren’t missing any opportunity to mark Caleb Williams as their most likely No. 1 pick this upcoming NFL Draft. And the USC star quarterback sure is enjoying the chase.

Just recently, at USC’s Annual Pro Day, held in Los Angeles, the Bears sent off a large unit as its representatives to watch Williams throw, including General Manager Ryan Poles, head coach Matt Eberflus, quarterbacks coach Kerry Joseph, assistant G.M. Ian Cunningham, and offensive coordinator Shane Waldron. Additionally, there was also a player added recently to the Bears’ roster– Keenan Allen

The former Chargers star wide receiver went to Los Angeles to meet and support his most likely quarterback, sporting the Bears jersey. As soon as Williams spotted Allen on the field, with a bright smile he went ahead to shake hands and hug the wide receiver.

Allen is third in the league in terms of receptions and sixth in yards since his rookie year in 2013. Having him on the team solidifies a strong offensive weapon for the USC star if he joins Chicago.

When the Bears acquired Allen for a fourth-round pick, Williams couldn’t hide away his happiness. He called the offseason move “crazy” while talking to media, as he was stunned to see his potential future team sign a star receiver, who racked up catching 108 passes for 1,243 yards and seven touchdowns for the Chargers, in 2023.

Caleb Williams envisions playing with star WR Keenan Allen

The Bears recently shared a video after the workout on the Pro Day, where Williams was seen talking about how he felt seeing Allen on the field to support him. “It was great,” said the young quarterback.

Williams also expressed his excitement about the potential scenario of playing with Allen, whom he has known for a year and also hung out together. He also showered high praises on the WR, saying:

He’s coming off one of his best years. That’s really exciting.

The USC player is excited about the likely opportunity to learn from an accomplished player like Allen, who is coming off his best year. With Allen, Williams would have a dynamic duo with DJ Moore, the top receiver of Chicago.
