A derby game in collective sports Is always heated and the match between the Colorado Buffaloes and the Colorado State football team was no exception. It saw everything that it could have seen. Thrill, drama, suspense and others. However, the game got unnecessarily heated and the players indulged in heated conversations and even in small tiffs.

Things started in the first quarter of the game when Shedeur Sanders threw a ball to his favourite target Travis Hunter. He slightly over-passed the ball. After the incompletion, Henry Blackburn laid a late hit on Hunter. It was a gruesome hit on the wide receiver and he immediately fell on the ground. Shedeur ran to Blackburn and had a heated conversation with him. Blackburn was penalized for his unnecessary roughness however he was not sent off by the referee. Hunter left the ground for a few minutes but later came back and finished his game.

Analyst Keyshawn Johnson later spoke about the challenge on his show. The former player and the present-day analyst called out the player for the nasty challenge that he made.

“I would say it was a dirty play,” the analyst said. “There is no need for that. But, he was Travis Hunter. Whether or not he was told to do it or he did it on his own, whatever the case is,  it should not have happened.” Keyshawn Johnson also advocated Blackburn’s suspension by saying, “He should have been suspended.”

The rivalry was gearing up between the two teams for the past week and the on-field coalition might be the outcome of it. The head coach of the Colorado state earlier attacked Deion Sanders by saying that Sanders wears a hat and sunglasses in front of the press which he would never do. On the other hand, Sanders also gave a befitting reply to him.

Yet another masterclass by coach prime Deion Sanders as his boys emerged as the winner of the derby. Despite trailing in the first half, the team emerged as victorious at the end of double overtime by 43-35.

Shedeur Sanders was yet again brilliant as he completed 34-of-47 passes, for 348 passing yards, and had 4 touchdowns. He was intercepted once. Travis Hunter suffered an injury and had two receives and 21 rushing yards.

The victory was the third straight win for the Buffaloes, a team which had just one win in 12 games last year. It seems that Sanders has changed this squad completely.
