The Miami Dolphins have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. Maybe the most explosive. They have weapons all over the place and QB Tua Tagovailoa is as accurate as they come. However, the Dolphins are 0-3 against the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, and the Kansas City Chiefs this season. These three teams are contenders to win the Super Bowl this season. For the Dolphins to make the Super Bowl, they will have to beat the elite teams. They have failed to do so in this season so far.
The Dolphins’ latest game against the Chiefs ended in them losing 21-14 in Germany. They failed to score a single point in the first half. According to former NFL player and current analyst, Keyshawn Johnson, the Dolphins are not contenders this season and that teams like the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals have already passed them.
I don’t consider them one of the big boys. I consider them fun to watch. I consider them dynamic when they are at home and they are throwing the ball all over. Now when you say that what is Miami in the AFC? Miami is now slipping down. Cincinnati has passed them, Baltimore has passed them, obviously, Kansas City is up there. They are now behind the sticks in their own division.Keyshawn Johnson on Undisputed
The Dolphins are 6-3 through nine weeks this season. They have a bye this week and will play the Las Vegas Raiders on November 19. Although the Dolphins have a winning record, they will have to beat the top teams to make any noise in the postseason. They are yet to beat a team with a winning record this season.
Tua Tagovailoa accepts the blame for the Miami Dolphins’ loss to the Chiefs
The Miami Dolphins lost their third game of the season against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Their QB Tua Tagovailoa had a mediocre game with just 193 passing yards and one touchdown. He also failed to orchestrate a game-tying final drive in the fourth quarter. After the game, he shouldered the blame for a couple of missed plays.
What happened with me and Ced, that was just miscommunication, and in big-time moments, those things like that can't happen. I've got to throw a better ball. It was just miscommunication there. Then with the last play of the game, I'm always going to blame myself. I've got to catch the ball. Whether that's getting in a better position to catch it or whatever it is, can't end the game like that when we have an opportunity like that against a really good team.Tua Tagovailoa told reporters
So far this season, the quarterback has 2,609 passing yards and 19 touchdowns to go along with 7 interceptions. He is in the MVP race, but games like these will hamper his bid for the coveted trophy. The signal-caller will hope to bounce back against the Las Vegas Raiders in their next game.
