Former wide receiver and present-day analyst Keyshawn Johnson did not approve of the idea that the Chicago Bears are going for the USC Trojans’ quarterback Caleb Williams in the place of their $15 million worth quarterback Justin Fields.

The analyst, in the latest episode of the show Undisputed, claimed that it would be a wrong move for the Bears to go for Williams when they have Justin Fields. The former WR stated that he connected with the situation of quarterback Fields. He also noted that the quarterback did not get a lot of support from his teammates and hence it reflected as a poor performance on the turf.

I personally feel that it will be a wrong move for the Bears... “Do you want to move on from someone you never gave a chance to draft something more unknown.

This is not the first time, the former WR stood by the side of the quarterback. He even advocated for Fields earlier also. He suggested that the Bears should not be going for Williams despite knowing the latter was the Heisman Trophy winner.

Johnson added:

I like the fascination about Caleb Williams. He’s great, Heisman trophy [winner] at USC, but no, they should not [draft him]. What has [Justin Fields] done that’s so egregious, with all the different stuff that’s going on in Chicago, that you want to move on from him in Year 2 [in the system].

There were debates between the two players – Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison Jr. The debate persists as the Bears have not found their ideal choice yet. Johnson suggested that the team should go for the wide receiver Harrison Jr.

Justin Fields is unsure about his time in the Bears team

The quarterback Justin Fields is unsure about his future in the Chicago Bears team. Despite his efforts, he failed to secure a playoff spot for the team. The Bears did not have a great season as they finished last in the NFC North Division with just seven wins and 10 losses. They hence failed to achieve a spot in the playoffs.

Despite knowing that his spot in the team is unsure, the player did not fail to express his gratitude to the Chicago City and the Bears team. Following the last game of the season, the quarterback said:

This city is amazing. I have told it plenty of times that this city, the people the fanbase are amazing. Last home game and you could not have any better snowing. Everything is awesome. The crowd, how we ended things. How we finished the game. I am going to remember this for the rest of my life.

Fields felt proud to hear his name from the Chicago.Bears fans. Something that he did not get to hear for a long time.
