The speculations about the New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley are running wild. The rumors of him leaving the Giants are getting stronger and there is no new update from the general manager Joe Schoen.

A few days back, the GM told the media that the team wanted to re-sign the RB and the two parties would initiate the contract extension talks very soon. However, no recent talks have occured in recent time. Amid this, the possibility of Barkley’s departure is gaining steam.

Amidst this, Fox Sports analyst Keyshawn Johnson claimed the RB would be a perfect fit for the Philadelphia Eagles, during a recent episode of the show Undisputed. There is some reported interest from the Eagles side and if they seriously consider that then the RB might end up in the squad. He will be in the NFC if the departure happens. 

They'll probably creep back up to the top. D'Andre Swift is a free agent. When you get a dual-threat like Saquon Barkley, a guy who can catch the ball out of the backfield, can run the ball between the tackles and on the perimeter. You add him to the mix, this is a little bit different than D'Andre Swift. And I totally forgot he's from the PA (Pennsylvania) area. They can make it happen.

The Eagles and the Giants play in the same Division and both share a very passionate fanbase. If Barkley decides to join the Eagles then he can suffer the agony from the Giants fans. Former Giants RB Tiki Barber warned him regarding the exact situation.

However, Barkley wouldn’t be worried about what the Giants fans think. He would certainly consider joining the Eagles if the price was right.

Robert Griffin III suggested Saquon Barkley to move to the Cowboys

This is not the first time, Barkley received a suggestion of moving to an NFC team. Earlier, he received a similar suggestion. Former NFL signal-caller Robert Griffin III suggested Barkley join the Dallas Cowboys for the next season. The former quarterback suggested the Cowboys replace their running back Tony Pollard.
