“Where is Cam?” Kimberley Martin brutally roasts Cam Newton for labeling Brock Purdy, Dak Prescott and top MVP candidates as mere ‘game managers’
Martin pointed out Newton doesn't have the credentials anymore of rating current NFL quarterbacks because he has been out of it for a while.

If Cam Newton wanted to spread his podcast ‘4th & 1 with Cam Newton’s name throughout the country, he succeeded. His controversial comments regarding the current crop of quarterbacks in the NFL reached the esteemed table of ESPN’s First Take, where contributor Kimberley Martin just couldn’t fathom the former Carolina Panthers player’s assessment.
During the latest episode of his podcast, Newton chimed in with his take on the recent NFL MVP lists, which consist mostly of quarterbacks. He singled out Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott, San Francisco 49ers Brock Purdy, and Miami Dolphins Tua Tagovailoa.
According to him, QBs such as Prescott or Tagovailoa aren’t actually “game-changers,” but basically just dudes who manage games. However, contrary to his words, every single one of them is ranked inside the Top Six in passing yards this season and the Top Eight in completion percentage.
Ever since his statement went viral, several analysts have extensively dissected his every word, but none more so than Kimberley Martin. During Wednesday’s segment of Get Up, she roasted Newton.
In the year 2023, where it’s all about NFL backups, where is Cam Newton? Not on an NFL roster, right? He’s talking about all of these NFL game managers. He sounds like the people are literally tweeting at me from their basement, like, ‘Get back in the kitchen.’ Like you are at home, watching me.
Being a former Heisman Trophy winner and 2015 NFL MVP, Cam Newton’s words should be taken seriously. But it’s debatable whether he is correct or not in this case. Considering the names he picked out, they might end up being the few to be in the mix for the NFL MVP at the end of the season.
Has Cam Newton retired?
As of 2023, Cam Newton is a free agent. There are rumors that ‘Super Cam’ or ‘Superman’ may return if he gets a good deal. When Aaron Rodgers got injured, the 34-year-old’s name was circled in the media along with Colin Kaepernick.

According to Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay, Newton will join the New York Jets, but at the right paycheck. The Big Apple franchise did not make any moves, and he remains focused on his podcast.
The last time he threw a ball in the NFL was during his second stint with the Panthers. After a solitary year with the New England Patriots following a nine-year stay with the Panthers, Newton returned to Carolina to relive the glory days. Unfortunately, for the former Auburn standout, he played five and lost five.
