Kirk Cousins came back to face his former team, the Commanders, in possibly the most important match for him so far this season. The Commanders’ fan brutally insulted the Vikings QB during the match and to answer that Cousins decided it was the perfect opportunity to shut them out.
The Vikings beat the Commanders in a nerve-wracking 20-17 game on SNF. Cousins played in Washington after 5 years and after defeating them the QB went towards the stands and shouted “you like that”
“To win on the road and to find a way means a lot, a special win. It was a hard-fought game,” After the game, Cousins spoke to the media. “I think the way they rushed us, the way they hit us, it’s one of those games where you feel the toughness, and as you walk off the field, it feels so great to win.”
Cousins was having the time of his life after beating the Commanders and celebrated extravagantly with all of his teammates.
The Vikings QB’s celebrations have become a tradition for the team, but this time it was special, and to commemorate this special moment Cousins brought out the big guns and decided to celebrate shirtless on the ride back home.
Kirk Cousins is performing brilliantly this season as the Vikings have won 5 games in a row with Cousins putting up impressive numbers in this game as well. The Vikings QB passed for 265 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.
