The San Francisco 49ers finished their season on a bad note. They lost their last game against the Los Angeles Rams and finished the season with a 12-5 record.

The defeat would not bother them much, as the team had already registered the No. 1 conference seed in the NFC. They will have all three home games in the playoffs, and it would be a great help for them in the postseason.

The 49ers gave a much-needed rest to their quarterback, Brock Purdy, ahead of the game against the Rams. That did not go well. The team lost in a close encounter against the Rams. It was a 21-20 margin that left the Niners behind.

After the game, Kyle Shanahan, the head coach, was asked whether the loss against the Rams made him annoyed.

The question was asked keeping in mind the relationship between Shanahan and Sean McVay. Both share a rivalry, and that was the sole reason for the media person to ask the question.

However, Shanahan denied the case. He said that the entire team makes him annoyed, not just a single person.

It's not just [Sean McVay], there's a bunch of people on the staff I know. They all annoy me.
The head coach added.

The 49ers have been the second-best team this season. The only difference between them and the Ravens was statistical. The Ravens were more clinical on the gridiron.

The two had a face-off, and the Ravens thrashed the 49ers. Nonetheless, both had achieved No. 1 seeds in their respective championships. As a result, both will enjoy a bye week on weekend wildcard days.

The 49ers have two MVP frontrunners

The 49ers have two MVP frontrunners this season. Two obvious MVP frontrunners. Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey. Both have done a fantastic job and hence both are considered MVP favorites.

Nonetheless, both players have put their teammates forward for the award. McCaffrey said that Purdy deserves the MVP most, while Purdy, on the other hand, added that it was McCaffrey who was the key man behind the success of the 49ers squad.

Nine players have made it to the Pro Bowl for the San Francisco 49ers this season. Both Purdy and McCaffrey have been inducted into the squad.
