In the first half, the 49ers had the lead over the Chiefs. However, the tables turned in the second half. Mahomes and the offense stepped up. Despite losing, Kyle Shanahan, Brock Purdy, and the 49ers deserve to be proud of their season.

This year, he nearly won the MVP Award and led his team to the Super Bowl. Legends of the game have praised Purdy for his performance.
Brock Purdy is no longer irrelevant after the remarkable season he has had
The San Francisco 49ers did not return to the Bay with the Lombardi Trophy, but they did return knowing full well that the team had found its franchise quarterback. Even in the playoffs, the lights never got too bright for Brock Purdy. His coach, Kyle Shanahan, praised his mentality and work ethic all year long, and it is understandable why.
The San Francisco 49ers and Brock Purdy walked off the field feeling dejected. Kyle Shanahan addressed his team’s mentality after last night’s game. This is what he said:

The team needs some time off for themselves alongside their families after their loss. Words cannot heal them, as the athletes know the pain of having a legitimate shot at winning the ring but then blowing it.
The 49ers will have to go back to the drawing board and figure out what went wrong. Brock Purdy will have a fruitful offseason as the QB is due to be paid. After the year he has had, he deserves a long-term extension with the team.
