On Sunday, the New York Jets caused a major upset as they handed the Philadelphia Eagles their first loss of the ongoing season. The week 6 matchup between the two teams was expected to be an easy win for the Eagles but the Jets fought till the end and managed to secure a victory. After the game, the Jets’ Laken Tomlinson was left searching for words while talking about what this Jets team means to him.
During the post-game press conference, the Jets’ veteran offensive lineman found it hard to control his emotions while talking about his team and their victory against the defending NFC Champions.
“This, team man. This is such a special team. The guys here fight for everyone and we all love each other. I love everybody here, man. It’s just awesome to see a bunch of guys man. . . you know?” said Tomlinson who then took a second silence while seemingly controlling his emotions. Then he looked up and said, “I love everybody here, man” and further added, “It’s just awesome man just to see how we played with each other.”
This is Tomlinson’s 9th year in the league. He has previously played with the Detroit Lions and the San Francisco 49ers. The Jets signed Laken Tomlinson back in the 2022 off-season to a 3-year deal.
He has been a good addition to New York’s squad and has been helping the Jets in the last two seasons. For Tomlinson to feel that way about his team after just spending one and a half seasons says a lot about the locker room environment in New York.

Laken Tomlinson and the Jets caused a major upset on Sunday
On Sunday, the Eagles were expected to secure an easy victory against the Jets since the New York-based football was missing multiple starters on both sides of the ball due to injuries.

The Jets were missing 3 of their starting cornerbacks including the 2022 Defensive Rookie of the Year Sauce Gardner and their starting guard Alijah Vera-Tucker, who is ruled out for the remainder of the season with an injury.
However, the Jets under Zach Wilson put up a great fight against the Eagles and secured an important victory. With that victory, the Jets improved to a 3-3 record. Now the Jets have a bye week in week 7 which could help their injured players recover without missing any more games.
