The Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson will likely win his second NFL MVP award this season. That won’t mean much to him as the Ravens, once again, failed to make the Super Bowl.

Jackson did not have a terrific game, although he made some brilliant plays throughout the game. His second-half performance against the Kansas City Chiefs‘ stellar defense was poor, and that was enough for the Chiefs to win the game, 17-10.

Throughout the game, Baltimore had opportunities, but the Chiefs ultimately prevailed 17–10 due to several costly turnovers, including two in the end zone. In the fourth quarter, rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers fumbled a touchdown pass out of the end zone. Jackson then threw an interception in the end zone on the next drive.

An emotional Jackson could be seen looking on in disappointment in the final seconds of the game, right after Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes connected on a deep pass with wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling to seal Kansas City’s victory.

After a devastating defeat, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was leaning over the quarterback for the Ravens to offer him some words of encouragement. As the game clock kept running, Jackson was seen nodding slightly while Beckham talked right into his ear.

Jackson finished the game with 272 yards, one touchdown, and an interception while completing 20 of his 37 pass attempts. He also carried the ball eight times for 54 yards.

Lamar Jackson spectacularly caught a tipped pass and converted it into a 13-yard gain

Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. He is certainly the best dual-threat QB in the NFL. However, he can also catch the ball. The onetime MVP recorded his first career reception against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game on Sunday.

In the AFC championship game versus the Kansas City Chiefs, Jackson had an incredible highlight. He hit a pass in the second quarter that was batted at the line of scrimmage and shot high into the air. Jackson ran ahead, making the catch and gaining 13 yards, following his instincts.

Jackson had never caught a pass in an NFL game, but he is capable of almost anything on the football pitch. In the AFC championship game, he had one of his better receptions to date. However, that did not amount to anything as the Chiefs triumphed, 17-10, and advanced to their fourth Super Bowl in the last five years.
