Just a few weeks ago, the Baltimore Ravens fans were celebrating the news of their franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson signing a 5-year contract extension after months and months of trade rumors. Now the celebrations have come to a halt as the Ravens community mourns the death of the Ravens superfan Chuck aka PurpleReignEra.
Chuck is a prominent personality on social media amongst the Ravens community, who died by apparent suicide over the weekend according to multiple reports. On Saturday, PurpleReignEra, whose real name is Chuck, tweeted, “Sorry gang. I hope the Ravens do well but this will be my last tweet from me. Thanks for all the debates and laughs lol,” on his social media account.
Just a few hours later, reports emerged that Chuck passed away shortly after he shot himself. The Ravens superfan has been living with the Baltimore-based model and social media influencer Stephanie Skyy and his two sons. Skyy confirmed the news on her Instagram story and also raised awareness about people struggling with mental health problems.
