The Baltimore Ravens did a remarkable job in the off-season, adding multiple talents to their roster, including receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flowers to make their offense stronger. Furthermore, they also reached a middle ground on a long-term deal with their franchise QB Lamar Jackson, that will keep the dual-threat QB in Baltimore for the next five years.

After all those moves, the Ravens roster has shaped up pretty nicely and they are looking to compete for the Super Bowl in the upcoming season. Jackson and the Ravens have begun training ahead of the season but the former Pro Bowl QB is surprisingly struggling in the training camp according to reports.

“Ravens practice just ended. There was some frustration among offensive players. Frustrated by another play being halted by a free blitzer, Lamar Jackson punted ball downfield and threw off his helmet to ground,” claimed Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.

The frustration might be a result of some continuous bad plays by the offense. The Ravens are playing under a new offensive coordinator and it might take some time for everyone to get set in the new offensive scheme.

Jackson wasn’t the only offensive player that expressed frustration in the camp. The Ravens’ star tight end Mark Andrews reportedly showed a middle finger to the referee since he didn’t get a pass interference call on one play. John Harbaugh, the head coach of the Ravens, addressed the offensive players’ frustrations and called it “a reflection of their perfectionism.”

Nonetheless, in time the former league MVP Jackson will get used to playing with his new teammates Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flowers in the Ravens’ new offensive scheme.

For the first time in his career, Lamar Jackson will have not one but two true number 1 receivers by his side. So far, Jackson’s best pass catcher has been his tight end Mark Andrews, but the franchise QB has got some more offensive weapons.

The Ravens signed Beckham Jr. in free agency and added speedster Zay Flowers in the 2023 NFL Draft. Jackson has a pretty good deep ball and with Flowers’ speed, the Ravens could score a lot of long-range touchdowns in the upcoming season.

Furthermore, Odell, for his part, could help Jackson regain his 2019 form when he won the league MVP award. Nonetheless, their main goal for the 2023 season would be lifting the coveted Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season.
