Lamar Jackson has been involved in a contract dispute with the Baltimore Ravens for quite some time now. The 26-year old QB desires a massive contract with guaranteed money. However, the team weren’t willing to offer his that and instead franchise tagged the QB.

Since then, Jackson has been heavily active on social media where he put out various tweets and stories to define his side of the story. However, recently the Ravens QB took another route and called out Instagram for their ‘dubious’ blue tick policy.

Instagram often gives a blue tick to various users to verify them as authentic and not fake. All the famous celebrities and athletes have the blue tick. Although, a recent addition has made things questionable for the NFL MVP winner.

Jackson savagely roasted the social networking site for giving his grandmother a blue tick. The Ravens QB put out a story on Instagram sharing his ordeal.

“Blue check on IG is worthless now, my grandma got a blue check,” Lamar Jackson stated in an Instagram story. “Grandma they don’t know you, you’re making us look bull.”

The recent blue tick controversy has been making rounds on social media ever since Twitter put out a plan where anyone can get verified by making a nominal amount each month. This enraged many celebrities as it disqualifies authenticity from one of the biggest social media platform.

However, this shouldn’t be Jackson’s biggest concern as he has yet to sign a deal with the team. Nonetheless, a recent addition to the team can work wonders for him.

Odell Beckham Jr. was one of the most sought after free agents this season. Many were surprised when the former Rams WR signed with the Ravens.

However, he got a good deal from Baltimore as he is offered $15 million guaranteed money and $3 million more in incentives. Regardless, many analysts have speculated that the reason behind OBJ signing for the Ravens is purely due to Lamar Jackson.

Odell has the ability to persuade the prolific QB to take up the deal that the Ravens are offering. Although, the exact figures of the deal are still unknown, it is said to be a massive deal by their standards.

Lamar Jackson accepted the signing of OBJ really well and even had a video-call meeting with the WR. The duo also posted a snapshot of their virtual meeting on Instagram.
