Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens has had a phenomenal season. He led the Ravens to the top seed in the AFC and is the frontrunner to win the league MVP award. Baltimore also holds the best record in the league and will have home field advantage throughout the postseason. The one-time MVP recently appeared on Tom Brady‘s Let’s Go! podcast.

Brady had huge praise for Jackson on the show. They first faced off against each other back in Brady’s final year with the New England Patriots. It was also the year when Jackson won the MVP award. Jackson was a star in South Florida’s high school, and Brady, whose family lives in Miami, recalled seeing one of his viral highlights back then.

Jackson was visibly excited after receiving such high praise from the legendary quarterback.

Jackson ended the regular season with his best throwing season till date. He racked up 3,678 yards, 24 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. He also ran for 821 yards and 5 touchdowns. The 27-year-old QB will hope to lead the Ravens to a Super Bowl title this season for the first time since the 2012 season.

The Baltimore Ravens’ QB recently appeared on the Let’s Go! podcast and had high praise for the host, Tom Brady. He also talked about Brady and the New England Patriots‘ terrific comeback win in Super Bowl LI.

Jackson said on the podcast:

Throughout my childhood, it was Patriots and whoever in the Super Bowl. Tom, you went almost every year no matter what. … [Your comeback from down 28-3] in the Falcons game, that was crazy.

He added:

When we're down in games, I'm like, ‘Tom Brady came back and beat the Falcons in the Super Bowl [so] no matter what, when we're down, we can come back and win the game.' That's one of them ones, that's the GOAT of GOATs right there.

Jackson has a winning record against Brady. Both these quarterbacks have played against each other twice and the Ravens have won both those games. Jackson has a rating of 106.0 in those game, whereas Brady only had a rating of 85.0.
