“His retirement wasn’t really sincere”: Lavonte David makes a SHOCKING claim about Tom Brady’s retirement
Tom Brady and Lavonte David
If you are truly passionate about something then it is hard for you to walk away from it, that can be seen with Tom Brady. The quarterback retired after a career spanning over two decades, his retirement was not the most fairytale ending as he lost to the LA Rams in the playoffs. His team was suffering from multiple injuries and there is only so much that even the GOAT can do. However, Brady has that Jordan mentality where he just needs a small trigger to set him off and motivate him.
The news about his retirement was also leaked prematurely, around this time, Brady took a few days off before personally announcing the news via his Instagram. Fast forward 40 days and he is back announcing that he will return for another season and as he should, he nearly won the MVP last year, it is not like the man is a bum, he still has it in him.

“He wasn’t really gonna step away from the game”: Lavonte David on Tom Brady’s 40-day retirement
Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David appeared on the Rich Eisen Show where he gave his two cents on the entire drama surrounding Tom Brady this offseason. Brady retires, Bruce Arians remains the Head Coach of the team and then boom, overnight things change as Brady comes back, all of a sudden, Arians claims that he has had an epiphany and he wants to step away from coaching and will take a higher role in the organization.
Lavonte David feels that it was more surprising to see Arians step away from coaching than to hear that Brady was coming back for one more season. “With Tom, you just kind of felt that, that whole thing he put out wasn’t really sincere and that he wasn’t really going to step away from the game because he is the ultimate competitor and the way we went out last year, I’m sure he didn’t want to go out that type of way. Even though we went out fighting but obviously, you want to go out on top, that’s not the way he wanted to go out,” David states.
Brady was not satisfied with how things ended last season, Antonio Brown leaves mid-season after causing drama yet again, then the defensive players that locked every single offense in the league out had its core players injured. Brady was short-handed, despite that he kept the game close but that Rams team last season was something different, and Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp destroyed the Bucs’ hopes of moving to the Super Bowl after the final drive that put them on the field goal range.
This season, if the team remains healthy, there is no argument as to why they cannot make a Super Bowl run. However, in the NFL, nothing is assured, only time will tell us how things will fare out.
