LeBron James, who referred to himself as no longer a Cowboys fan last season, seems to have taken good interest in the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving game against the Commanders. The NBA legend seemed to have been thrilled as cornerback, DaRon Bland and quarterback Dak Prescott led the team to an unbeatable 45-10 victory at home.

Quarterback Prescott deserves all the credit for the outstanding offense for passing for 331 yards with four touchdowns, but it was Bland who caught all eyes in the Cowboys’ defense. Entering the game against the Commanders, cornerback Bland already tied for the NFL record for four pick-sixes. He was tied alongside Ken Houston (1971), Jim Kearney (1972), and Eric Allen (1993) for the mark.

As he picked the opponents’ quarterback Sam Howell, returning back with a touchdown, he made NFL history. Watching the game, James was totally blown away as he tweeted:

With just 4:50 minutes left in the game, the Cowboys were already in the lead at 38-10. It seemed like Bland would have to wait for one more day with his historic outing. Howell had the ball on the Cowboys’ 40-yard line, as he wanted the score to be a little fair. Unfortunately for him, Bland foreseen his move and picked the quarterback.

Even though James does not consider himself a Cowboys fan any longer, where the credit was due, he didn’t hold himself from appreciating the player for making history.

Why did ex-Cowboys fan LeBron James appreciate the cornerback Daron Bland?

A great sportsman never shies away from appreciating greatness when he sees it. And a legend like LeBron James knows what it takes to conquer a sport. During his active days in the NBA, King James has broken many records, and he continues to inspire the next generation in the NBA.

Earlier this week, James was named the only player in the history of the NBA to achieve more than 39,000 career points. Apart from him, only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has been close to surpassing the mark, and no other player after him.

It’s for sure that the NBA legend is not going to retire anytime soon, and who may know he even became the first to exceed 40,000 points. That’s why, when the legend saw history made by the hands of young athletes such as Daron Bland, he grabbed his phone and cheered for him.
