LeBron James gets involved in a cheeky dig at the Lakers citing Aaron Rodgers’ ‘eerie’ team-building situation with the Packers amidst a series of crushing losses

LeBron James and Aaron Rodgers
The bad omen for the Green Bay Packers continued as they went down against the Tennessee Titans without putting up much of a fight. They lost the match on the home field 17-27 and, as a result, went down 4-7 for the season. The Packers, who are the three-time defending NFC North champions, have virtually no room for errors as their chances to qualify for the playoffs are hanging by a tiny thread.
Not only the Packers will now have to win their remaining games to stay in contention, but their fate will also be depended on the other results for a wildcard entry. They have now dropped two games behind the San Francisco 49ers (5-4) in the race for the NFC’s final wild-card spot. Among others, star quarterback Aaron Rodgers is in question for the Packers’ poor show.
His passing abilities have once again become the talk of the town and many believe that he doesn’t have it in him anymore. However, NBA legend LeBron James opined on the Packer’s situation and discussed why the team has been failing this season. Instead of blaming Rodgers, he said that the quarterback wasn’t given an ideal team around which he could build his game.

He indirectly defended Rodgers by stating that the management didn’t invest in the right players and that just because he is the biggest player on the team, all blame can’t be shifted to him. “If you have a transcendent franchise player like Aaron Rodgers, why won’t you surround that when you got the picks to maximize what you do,” James said.
While James was speaking about the Packers, The Shop‘s Paul Rivera interrupted him by asking whether he was talking about football or basketball. “Are we still talking football or are we talking basketball,” he asked. This was a dig at the Los Angeles Lakers, James’ team because a very similar situation is happening there too.
Like the Packers, the Lakers are underperforming massively this season. They are currently 14th in the Western Conference table and have won just 3 out of their 13 matches. Just like Rodgers isn’t getting much support from the rest of the team, James is proving to be a one-man army at the Lakers. This is the reason why Rivera took a dig at the Lakers to which the panel couldn’t hold back their laugh.
