Former player and present-day analyst LeSean McCoy has become a die-hard fan of the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs Andy Reid. The HC poses a vision of attacking football. In addition, he provided results to different teams, struggling before his appointment. The HC broke the Chiefs’ Super Bowl drought as he led the team to win the SB in 2020. It was their first since the year 1970.

These things have turned McCoy into a fanboy of the HC. So much so that, in one of the episodes of Speak on FS1, he claimed that Reid would surpass Bill Belichick’s legacy as an NFL head coach.

Wherever Andy Reid goes, whoever Andy Reid has as a player, whether it’s a running back, a wide receiver, a quarterback, he is going to win games. He’s going to take a bad team and make them a good team. He does it over and over again. When he got to the Eagles, that wasn’t a good team. They became a good team over time. He leaves Philadelphia, right.
LeSean McCoy said

The veteran head coach started his coaching career with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1999. The Eagles were a team suffering from multiple hardships at that time. In the 1998 season, the team had just won three games. Reid did not provide instant success to the team, however, he helped the Eagles to win two more games than the previous season. In the latter years as the Eagles’ head coach, he delivered multiple NFC East Titles and one NFC Championship. He left the team in 2012 after a 4-12 record.

‘Shady’ McCoy claimed that Reid has the experience of working with a backup quarterback and delivering success to his team. McCoy was citing the instance of Jeff Garcia whom Reid prepared during his tenure with the Eagles.

He also later worked with Patrick Mahomes and delivered success. Something that Bill Belichick is not allegedly familiar with. He has failed to deliver success with any quarterback except Tom Brady, according to McCoy.

McCoy said:

He goes to the Chiefs, who weren’t a good team before Andy Reid got there. They instantly become a good team. So when I look at Andy Reid — and I want to preach for Andy Reid because I love him — but I’m saying, I see a great coach. I see players developing. I see him making players get better and better. When you look at Belichick, what do you see? I see Tom Brady. I see him benefiting off the success of Tom Brady because when Tom Brady left, I can’t see a time when Belichick has been successful.

Reid has the opportunity to win a consecutive Super Bowl this year. Despite suffering multiple odds, the veteran has led the team to another Super Bowl. The HC had massive roadblocks as they faced on-the-road playoff games, however, they succeded in all those games.
