Just a week ago, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was at the top of the world. He was a frontrunner for the MVP award; he was having one of his best campaigns in the league.

But it all came down to his poor outing against the Buffalo Bills in their Week 15 matchup on Sunday. Following his poor outing, Fox Sports analyst LeSean McCoy believes Prescott has lost his shot at the prestigious award.

During a recent episode of the Fox Sports show Speak, show hosts Emmanuel Acho, LeSean McCoy, James Jones, and Joy Taylor were discussing whether Prescott’s MVP campaign was over following his zero-touchdown performance on Sunday. McCoy added some theatrics to his argument.

As Shady McCoy was getting ready to make his argument, he began lighting fake Prescott’s MVP ballots on fire to show where he stands on the argument. He made his argument as he continued to collect the fake MVP ballots from Emmanuel Acho and lit them on fire before throwing them in a trash can. Check out the footage attached below.

This is the last time we put this to bed. We going to burn all them thoughts you got of [Dak Prescott] being MVP. ... Kiss that MVP goodbye. It's a wrap.

Even, Prescott supporter James Jones agreed with McCoy’s take that Prescott lost his MVP since the Cowboys got blown out on the road against the Buffalo-based football team.

In that game, Prescott completed 61.8% of his pass attempts for just 134 yards and 0 passing touchdowns while throwing one interception. It was one of his worst outings this year, resulting in the Cowboys’ morale-downing loss.

Did Dak Prescott lose his shot at the MVP award?

There is no doubt that Dak Prescott’s MVP campaign took a heavy hit on Sunday due to the veteran signal-caller’s abysmal performance in the Cowboys’ crucial Week 15 game. But did he completely lose his shot at winning the prestigious award?

And the answer is no. It is true that San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy’s 4 touchdown game did not help Prescott’s game at all. But now, Jalen Hurts is more or less completely out of the MVP picture, and Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill is dealing with injuries.

So, the MVP race has come down to just two people for now: Prescott and Purdy. If Purdy continues his form, he might run away with the award. But if he slips in the upcoming three games, the Cowboys QB would have a shot at winning his first MVP trophy.
