As if it weren’t already clear, Deion Sanders attracted a lot of stardom, and rapper Lil Wayne joined the Prime Time bandwagon. After finishing his performance on Fox Sports’ Big Noon Kickoff in Boulder, Colorado, he was greeted with a welcoming gift from Sanders.
Coach Prime joined Lil Wayne on stage and gave him a customized No. 17 Colorado Buffaloes jersey with “Tunechi” written on the back. Without wasting any time, Wayne put the jersey on as the crowd cheered as loudly as it could. He joined the long list of high-profile names to show their support for Deion Sanders.
Besides, Lil Wayne, a Hollywood celebrity, and retired WWE wrestler Dwayne Johnson showed up to watch the Buffs take on their regional rivals, the Colorado State Rams. Several others were in attendance, such as NBA star Kawhi Leonard and former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski.
The Colorado Buffaloes (ranked 18) entered their week 3 game with a 2-0 start, silencing all the doubters. They are led by a pair of Heisman hopefuls, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way Travis Hunter.
The Lil Wayne song took a sharp jab at what Rams head coach Jay Norvell had said as he led the Buffaloes out of the tunnel. Its lyrics read, “I don’t care if they hear it in Boulder: I told them, I took my hat off, and I took my glasses off.”
Norvell had criticized Deion Sanders for wearing sunglasses during the press conference. In reply, the Buffs coach said, “He messed up and made it personal.”
Sanders gifted each member of his team a pair of his signature shades prior to the game. He announced, “Y’all look good. You look fly. They don’t realize that they also just helped me with business. But it’s also going to be personal.”

Deion Sanders’ third Colorado Buffaloes game went to overtime
It was an intense battle from the start. The two teams did not want to give an inch to one another. Because of what had transpired before the kickoff, it was bound to go down to the wire, and something had to offer.
Shedeur Sanders once again led from the front for the Buffaloes as Deion Sanders watched from the dugout. He was a constant target for the Rams as they looked to shut out the young quarterback.
Buffaloes wide receiver Travis Hunter had to go off injured and did not return to the game. In a stunning turnaround, the 18th-ranked Colorado football team managed to recover from a significant fourth-quarter disadvantage to surprise Colorado State, with a 43-35 victory in double-overtime. Shedeur delivered four touchdown passes, with three of them occurring during the fourth quarter and overtime, helping the team secure a 3-0 record under the leadership of Coach Deion Sanders.
