Wardell Stephen Curry II is a generational basketball player. A player that rewrites history books and disrupts every normal perception of the game. He is probably one of the top 10 greatest NBA players of all time and, at 35 years of age, is still adding to his legacy. Rapper Lil Wayne knows too well not to bet against Curry, just like one never did against a certain Tom Brady.
Brady, who won seven Super Bowl titles during his illustrious 23-year career, is widely regarded as the greatest quarterback of all time. There have been a lot of times in his career when he was counted out, and doubted. The man always bounced back. He always produced at an elite level when the chips were down. Much like Stephen Curry. Wayne couldn’t help himself but compare the two while talking about his pick to win the NBA title this season.
During the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns game in LA, Wayne and his son, Kameron Carter were mic’d up for Bleacher Report. It resulted in a lot of great soundbites, including Wayne’s pick for the NBA Finals this season. The rapper picked Curry’s Golden State Warriors and the Milwaukee Bucks as his Finals matchup.
His son was surprised by his choice of the Warriors to represent the Western Conference. Wayne later gave his reason for picking them saying:
To me, counting Steph [Curry] out is like how it used to feel when you'd count [Tom] Brady out, them Patriots years that you just thought they're not going to be there, and then they'd be in the f---ing Super Bowl. That's how I be feeling about Steph. Every time I'm ready to say, 'Yeah, Steph's run is over,' that boy be right there in the Finals.
Curry has already won four championships in his 15-year NBA career. To compare him with Brady might rub a lot of people the wrong way, but both these players have performed well under pressure throughout their career.
Tom Brady shares advice for Josh Allen on staying healthy
Tom Brady is the GOAT. He went to 10 Super Bowls in his 23-year NFL career and played till he was 45 years old. So when he offers you advice on how to stay healthy, you take it. He offered his advice to Buffalo Bills‘ star QB Josh Allen on how to avoid injuries and play for a long time.
Brady started off by telling the QB to be selective in his running and not risk the possibility of an injury for extra yardage. He further gave some specific advice to Allen saying:
And not that he shouldn’t run, but when he does run, f****** slide and make sure no one hits you, because I don’t ever want to see him ever get hurt.
Allen has been one of the best QBs in the league in recent times. He has led the Bills to the playoffs in each of the last four seasons. The Bills are one of the contenders to win the Super Bowl this season and they will need the best of Allen to achieve that.
