The Detroit Lions created history in the NFL as they registered their first playoff win since the year 1991. It was their first in more than three decades! The fans had no options except to go into tears mode after seeing their beloved team make it to the next round of the postseason.

In a much-anticipated playoff clash, the Lions had a faceoff against the Los Angeles Rams, a team that had a consistent run in this season. The Lions, on the other hand, had a great season as well. They started the season by beating the Kansas City Chiefs in a neck-to-neck battle and finished it off well.

Apart from a dying-second controversial defeat against the Dallas Cowboys, the Detroit franchise had everything going for them this season. With 12 wins and five defeats, the team clinched their berth in the postseason as well as the NFC North, both a rarity in the team’s history since its inception.

The Rams vs the Lions was a thrilling encounter as it had everything that a playoff game could have asked for. The pendulum swung between two sides quite often. The Lions took a hefty 14-3 lead in the first quarter which had a decisive role in the game. The Rams tried to get back to the game but failed to do so as the Lions’ defense restricted them with brilliance.

Lions fans broke into emotions on the field and social media

The brilliant performance by the Lions compelled their fans to break into tears. It started from the gridiron as fans were spotted extremely emotional while congratulating the team’s performance. When Jared Goff was seen raising his hands toward the stands, the fans appreciated him.
