Lukas Van Ness is an exceptional linebacker from Iowa University. The 21-year-old Edge rusher wasn’t the starter for his team last season. However, he still managed to dominate and get picked in the NFL draft.
The Green Bay Packers solves their defensive needs by drafting him 13th overall during the 2023 NFL draft. Van Ness is usually called the ‘Hercules’ due to his strength and versatility of lining up anywhere in defense if needed.
Van Ness’ family was extremely excited when he got the call from the Packers. The edge rusher and his family were seen sitting on a couch during the live stream. The former Iowa University star was accompanied by his girlfriend, Frankie Kmet, and a couple of other women.
His dad was also present throughout the proceedings and the initial interaction between his dad and Frankie is going viral on the Internet. The celebration soon turned awkward for them when Frankie and Lukas Van Ness’ father hugged each other and the dad ended up patting her backside twice, live on National Television.
The incident soon became extremely viral and everyone started to comment on Lukas Van Ness’ father. Regardless, his girlfriend didn’t mind or did not react to the pat on her back on live television.

Luke Van Ness and Frankie Kmet met in college
Frankie Kmet has been embroiled in the NFL world way before Lukas Van Ness was even drafted by the Packers. It is reported that the couple met through the agency that represents the former Iowa edge rusher and Frankie’s brother, who also happens to be an NFL player.
Her brother is Cole Kmet, who plays as a tight end for the Chicago Bears. The couple also posted pictures on their Instagram wearing the Packers jersey.
Frankie Kmet’s social media following shot up in a few hours after her recent incident went viral on the Internet. She currently has over 6k followers and the number keeps on increasing.
On the other hand, there has been no statement from Lukas Van Ness’ camp regarding the incident as they get incessantly trolled on social media. The 21-year-old was greeted with a great reception from many sports fans who look at every small detail with a keen eye.
