“Eat what you want to eat”: Mac Jones’ diet and workout routine will shock you
Mac Jones
The New England Patriots have always been an unpredictable team due to coach and GM Bill Belichick. It is hard to understand his next move and even the reasoning behind his draft choices. The team had one of the most unusual drafts as, despite Mac Jones and Brian Hoyer on the team, they picked Bailey Zappe, yet another QB instead of taking a wideout or a tight end. Maybe this is just another mind game of Belichick who is trying to send a message to Jones that you are replaceable.
The quarterback most certainly does not need it as he is one of the most disciplined and obedient players that any coach could ask for. Mac Jones really does remind some of Brady when it comes to his dedication to his craft. The quarterback had a good season last year but due to injuries, he could not stay healthy all year and the Pats missed the playoffs by just one win.
“You have to be disciplined”: Mac Jones does not cheat on his meals or training
When Jones came into the league, he did not have that aesthetic of a physique. If you saw him, you’d think he was just another 23-year-old who maybe worked out twice or thrice a week. The NFL in terms of physicality is a different beast and Jones realized that while playing.
The quarterback understood that he needs to make some changes starting with his body, he has clearly been lifting and watching what he eats as this time he is probably in the best shape of his life. Good old hard work and discipline never fail to produce results.
The quarterback speaking to NBCSportsBoston stated that he is eating better and working harder than ever. We see you, Mac Jones.
“I made significant strides, fixing my body, feeling comfortable, feeling healthier, and better. At the end of a day, you’re still a human and you want to eat what you want to eat, but you have to be disciplined,” Jones said. It comes as no surprise that the Patriots were impressed with his rookie season, he beat out a Super Bowl quarterback in Cam Newton to get the job and he showed up when the team needed him.
It will be exciting to see Mac Jones play in this upcoming season considering now that he looks like someone who does not eat mac and cheese for lunch and dinner.
