The New England Patriots have scored three points in their last two games. They have allowed a whopping 72 points in the span of those two games. The team is struggling at the moment and their QB Mac Jones has been at the center of those struggles. He hasn’t had a great start to his season and has thrown six interceptions already.

Jones threw his fourth pick-6 at Gillette Stadium on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. That matches his predecessor Tom Brady‘s count of four pick-6s at the same stadium. The difference is that Brady’s tally came over the span of two decades, whereas Jones’ came in the span of just three years. Brady is widely regarded as the greatest QB of all time. Jones, on the other hand, has had a rough couple of years after leading the Pats to the playoffs in his rookie season.

Jones’ pass was intercepted by Saints’ safety Tyrann Mathieu in the first quarter, which was returned for a Saints touchdown. With that pick, Jones has now thrown three pick-6s this season, and it was the sixth of his career. He was later benched in the second half once the game was out of the Patriots’ reach. Jones finished the game with 110 yards and two interceptions.

With the loss on Sunday, the Patriots have now slipped to 1-4 for the season. Their hopes of making the playoffs are dwindling by the week. They will play against the Las Vegas Raiders in their next game at Allegiant Stadium. The Pats will hope to bounce back in their next game.

Mac Jones is still the Patriots’ starting quarterback, says HC Bill Belichick

The New England Patriots QB, Mac Jones, has had a terrible couple of games. He has thrown four picks and zero touchdowns in the Patriots’ last two games. In their latest game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, Jones was benched after a poor performance. However, head coach Bill Belichick still backs the young QB to be the Patriots’ starting QB going forward.

“Yeah, there were other problems; it certainly wasn’t all on him,” Belichick said after the game. The Pats have scored just three points in their last two games.“It was just early, and I’ve got to watch the film, but definitely don’t want to start like that,” Jones said after the game.

The Patriots will travel to Las Vegas to play the Las Vegas Raiders in their next game. They will need to win as many games as possible to get into the playoffs from here on. It will be a tough task.
