Patrick Mahomes has been continuously criticized by his former teammates. Recently, Tyreek Hill stated that Tua Tagovailoa is a better QB than Mahomes. Kyler Matthews also joined in the comparisons and said Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes are not even in the same league when it comes down to quality.
Most recently Tyrann Mathieu also took an indirect shot at Patrick Mahomes in a tweet for Packers QB Aaron Rodgers. Mahomes has handled hate like a champ and he proves his haters wrong on the field instead of talking off the field.
That’s what Colin Cowherd said on the Herd that the numbers never lie and his performance, when compared to Aaron Rodgers, is exceptionally well, especially when you take into account their performance in playoff games.
Patrick Mahomes is the most clutch player in the NFL besides Tom Brady. Colin Cowherd also stated that, Mahomes stats improve in the 4th quarter of the game or if the team is trailing and it’s the complete opposite for the Packers QB Aaron Rodgers.
Cowherd later called Patrick Mahomes “the most dependable big game player in the league along with Tom Brady and it’s not even close.” Mahomes is a quality QB and to be praised with the Bucs QB who’s one of the greatest players to grace the game is a compliment in itself.

There is a concrete reason why the former Chiefs players are criticizing Patrick Mahomes and Colin Cowherd knows exactly why. Cowherd believes that ‘bitterness’ is the reason that Tyrann Mathieu, Sammy Watkins and Tyreek Hill have criticized the Chiefs QB.
Tyrann Mathieu was traded because he was too expensive and was getting old. Sammy Watkins was injury prone and Tyreek Hill wanted quarterback money. Every single player was let go because of a certain reason and now they are just trying to take a shot at Mahomes and the Chiefs
Cowherd also pointed out that it was the Chiefs who made these players who they are and also won the Super Bowl in 2020. Although Patrick Mahomes is a quality QB who has just entered his prime and has a long and fruitful career in front of him.
