The Baltimore Ravens have made some massive changes in their offensive scheme to help their franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson. They have added multiple offensive weapons for Jackson, including receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flowers in the off-season. Amidst this, ESPN analyst Marcus Spears believes these changes will lead to Jackson having the best season of his career.
“This will be Lamar’s best season. This will be the season where everybody finally gives respect to the fact that Lamar can throw the ball at a high clip like all of these top quarterbacks that we see in the NFL. He will have that opportunity to do that more and more,” said Spears in the recent episode of the ESPN show First Take.
Lamar’s talent has never been questioned by anyone. He has already proved himself in the league when he won the league MVP back in 2019 with very little offensive help. But Lamar never had the privilege of playing with top-receiving talents. His talent has been limited in that department by the Ravens’ front office.
But this off-season, the Ravens went all out to add multiple offensive weapons to their roster to help Lamar Jackson in the passing game. Besides, they have made a change in the offensive coordinator position as they roped in the former Georgia Bulldogs OC Todd Monken in the off-season.
He could bring out the full potential of Jackson in the upcoming season. Still, it would be tough for Jackson to top his 2019 MVP campaign, but Spears believes Jackson can pull it off.
“I think Lamar Jackson, like I said about them being the biggest contenders then the Kansas City Chiefs would be in the top voting for the MVP conversation,” said Marcus Spears.

Lamar Jackson has never had this much offensive help

The Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has been one of the top quarterbacks in the league ever since he was drafted by the Baltimore-based football team. But this time, he could unlock his full potential with the help of his new offensive weapons.
The Ravens signed Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year deal worth up to $18 million in free agency. Furthermore, they also added the highly touted pass catcher Zay Flowers in the NFL Draft.
OBJ, Flowers, and the Ravens tight end Mark Andrews will help Lamar Jackson prevail at the passing game in the upcoming season. If Jackson can stay healthy for the entire season, the Ravens could make a deep postseason run.
